About UPBHOKTA SANRAKCHAN & KALYAN SAMITI
UPBHOKTA SANRAKCHAN & KALYAN SAMITI was founded in 1990 and consumermitra is an initiative by this organisation to guard the consumer rights. ConsumerMitra is actively engaged with related issues at the local (District),State , National and international levels. If you are a consumer and have any problems that you feel violate your consumer protection rights, feel free to get in touch with us and we will not only provide you with the solution of your problem but will also look into the matter that it never happens again with several other consumers.

Our Efforts
Consumers are one the most important resources of the country and the Government of India is committed to guarantee their welfare and protect their rights. The Department of Consumer Affairs under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution is responsible for this task. Sometimes, after buying a product or service, consumers may feel cheated for reasons such as being charged more than the Maximum Retail Price (MRP), getting less than what they paid for, the product being defective and so on. Most people are unaware of the procedure to seek redressal and leave things as they are. Consumers need to wake up and take action against such businesses, which they believe to be non genuine. To ensure this, the government has taken various measures like the enactment of the Consumer Protection Act, launch of the 'Jago Grahak Jago' campaign and Standardization of Weights and Measures is a part of this program. Consumer Mitra is commited to take this initiative to the consumers for their welfare.
